Please keep my memory
    As a gentle reminder
        That you were loved
            Always by me.
Please don't ask me why
I had to take my life.
It didn't mean I didn't love you.
There was nothing you could have done
    To take away the pain
         That controlled my soul.
I was overtaken by sorrow
    No more to laugh.
I couldn't face tomorrow
    My despair sure to last.
Please cry your tears of sadness
That our life together is no more,
But please don't cry for the end of my life
    For my spirit now soars.
Don't try to understand
    Don't try to reason why?
Just know that I am with you always.
You will feel my presence when least expected.
When all is quiet and the world is still
You will know I am there
       Smiling
And you will be comforted
    And you will know
That it was okay for me to go.
No longer haunted by relentless agony,
I am with you in spirit,
Wiping your tears of sorrow
    Until we meet again.
