Tony's love for the Steelers began when he was just a little boy.
He and his Dad would always watch the games together with MUCH enthusiasm!  In later years, when his disorder caused him so much distress, Tony's devotion to the Steelers gave him precious moments of escape and he truly enjoyed his team.  As Chistmas gifts for the last two years of his life, we gave him overnight sport's bus trips to Pittsburgh where he watched his team play at Three Rivers Stadium.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Black and Gold of the American League, for which it stands, kicking the crap out of all other teams in our quest to reach the Super Bowl, under one coach, for which we stand, united with his players, inadvisable, and fearless to all.
LONG LIVE THE BLACK AND GOLD
Even as a little boy, Tony was a REAL fan
and lived in his Steelers uniform.
Buying a gift  for Tony was easy - as long as it was black and gold and had the Steelers logo on it.
(Tony was also a Pirates fan!!)
This is the last picture of Tony taken during his life.
~ Christmas 1996 ~
Tony drove miles to the Grand Opening of a new WalMart
to get autographs of these Steelers' team members.
If I Were a Pittsburgh Steeler . . .
